The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
Statement of Policy
It is the
policy of the Board of Directors, so far as is reasonably practicable, to ensure
that responsibilities for safety and health are properly assigned, accepted and
fulfilled at all levels of management and that steps are taken to safeguard the
health, safety and welfare of all employees, service-users, visitors,
contractors or other persons having access to the premises under our control.
It is our
intention, so far is as reasonably practicable, to ensure that:

The
provision and maintenance of premises, plant, equipment and systems of work
are safe and without risk to health.

The
arrangements for use, handling and storage of articles, equipment and
substances for use at work are safe and without risk to health.

Adequate
information is available with respect to articles and substances used at
work, detailing the conditions and precautions necessary to ensure that when
properly used, they will be safe and without risk to health.

Employees
are provided with such information, instruction, training and supervision as
is necessary to secure their health and safety.

The
working environment of all employees and service users is safe and without
risk to health and that adequate provisions are made with regard to the
facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work.

The
Health and Safety Policy will be reviewed and updated as and when
necessary. Communication of any such changes will be made to all employees.

A source
of competent health and safety advice and assistance is made available to
management as required by the Management of Health and Safety at Work
Regulations 1999.
