Sample Terms And Conditions Of Full Time Employment The following Terms and Conditions shall
form a contract between Hayfield Support
Services with Deaf People Ltd. and Mr A.Example and shall supersede
any previous contract of employment.
Employer: Hayfield Support Services With Deaf People
Ltd. Address: 260 Moffat Street,
Employee: Mr A.Example
Employment: The employee is employed as a [Name of
Position] for the purpose of furthering the aims and objectives of Hayfield
Support Services with Deaf People Ltd. as detailed in Appendix 1 hereto and
shall comply with all reasonable instructions given by the Employer or his
authorised representative in the furtherance of such aims and objectives.
Locus
of Employment: The employee shall be based at one or more
of the properties operated by Hayfield Support Services with Deaf People Ltd.
but the locus of employment will not necessarily be restricted to those
properties and the employee may be moved as the needs of Hayfield requires from
time to time as is reasonable.
Commencement
of Employment: Employment
commenced on ............................
Remuneration: The salary is £.................
for a 39 hour week and shall be paid monthly in arrears to a bank of the
employees choice. No extra hours,
overtime or enhanced rates of pay will be applicable except after prior
consultation and agreement with the employer or his authorised representative.
Expenses: Only expenses
which have been previously agreed and sanctioned by the Employer will be paid.
Holiday
Entitlement: The holiday year
shall run from 1st April to 31st March and the employees shall not be entitled
to carry forward holiday entitlement accrued in one year to a subsequent year.
The Employee will be entitled to 20 days annual paid leave plus the
statutory public holidays as recognised by the Employer.
These holidays must be agreed and approved by the Employer in writing.
Sickness,
Injury or Accident: All sickness,
injury and accidents must be reported immediately to the Employer or his
authorised representative. The Employer requires self-certification for
each day of illness which covers one to seven calendar days. For the
eighth and subsequent days of illness, a doctor’s certificate is required.
Failure to provide and appropriate documentation will result in non-payment of
appropriate entitlement and could result in termination of employment.
Payment
for Sickness: Company Sick Pay:
See appendix 2. Statutory Sick
Pay: As a consequence
of the Company Sick Pay Policy, all statutory sick pay received by an Employee
shall be remitted to the Employer. If
an Employee is unable to resume his employment as a result of sickness after a
period of four weeks, the situation regarding the non-attendance at employment
will be reviewed.
Health
& Safety: The Employer will comply with all
requisites of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974).
It is both parties duty to comply with all regulations under this act
while they carry out their respective duties.
Grievance
Procedure: All grievances should be taken up in
the first instance with the immediate superior.
If this fails to resolve the matter, the superior will arrange to have
you meet your Employer or his authorised representative as soon as is
practicably possible.
Discipline
Procedure: It is recognised that discipline is
essential for the smooth running of the employment project and therefore conduct
must comply with all reasonable rules and regulations.
In accepting this it is equally recognised that disciplinary action will
be taken in a fair and equitable manner, at the discretion of Management.
Termination
of Employment: One month’s
notice on either side shall be given of termination of employment.
In the event of the termination of employment for whatever reason, the Employee agrees
that any sums due the Employer, for whatever reason, may be deducted from
the final salary.
No
alterations to the Terms and Conditions of the Contract of Employment shall be
binding on the parties unless authenticated in writing and signed by the
Employee and the Employer’s Development Director.

APPENDIX
1
The
Objects of Hayfield Support Services with Deaf People Ltd.
Are: To provide rehabilitation / habilitation
services with hearing impaired people who have additional difficulties, with the
purpose of improving the quality of their lives and encouraging the development
of abilities to function independently; to
provide residential and day care facilities for hearing impaired people; to provide all types of educational opportunities including
social skills training and work discipline routines; to provide a caring environment which will nurture the
emotional growth of hearing impaired people;
to carry out research as appropriate to the development of skills and
methods which will assist the above; to
carry out research into the possible causes of psychological, social, emotional,
behavioural or other additional difficulties of hearing impaired people and to
influence the improvement of whatever facilities may be considered necessary to
reduce the incidence of such difficulties;
to carry out research into the present policy and administration
throughout the U.K. regarding the caring for, and administration of, services
for hearing impaired people; to
develop, provide and administer whatever services are considered advantageous to
the short or long term care and/or habilitation/rehabilitation of hearing
impaired persons.
