To
provide a comprehensive assessment service, so that the needs of Deaf
people with additional disabilities can be identified and to ensure
appropriate strategies are implemented to meet those needs.

To
work with referring authorities, carers and Deaf people to draw up and
regularly review individual care plans for each service user, assisting
them to achieve their maximum potential.

To
provide an environment in which each individual can progress, either
towards development of the skills and confidence levels required for
independent living, or towards a significant enhancement in their
quality of life.

To
provide a range of residential and day care services to meet the needs
of individual service users as outlined in each care plan.

To
engage and work with other agencies and professionals to provide
additional services as deemed necessary and appropriate for each service
user.

To
provide opportunities for Deaf people to learn, make personal choices
and to develop their self-esteem.

To
ensure that each service user has access to a full range of health and
advocacy services as deemed necessary for their health and well-being.

To
be aware of current research into the psychological, social or emotional
difficulties experienced by Deaf people, with a view to developing or
improving services and facilities dealing with such difficulties.

To
carry out research into the provision of care and rehabilitative
services in the UK in order to identify examples of best practice, and
maximise the benefit to Hayfield’s service users.
