The recent Bank holiday Monday, TC residents invited their friends from BST to join them on a trip to Edinburgh zoo! Everybody jumped at the chance. We set off early on the Megabus. Once at the zoo we were all ready to visit some animals after a quick toilet break! Firstly was the Meercats, then on to see some birds, the pink flamingos were our favourite, they were beautiful. We then went to see the penguins, it smelt very fishy!! We were very lucky and got to see the pandas up close. One was snoozing and the other eating some bamboo for lunch. Next was our picnic lunch which we enjoyed  – sitting out in the sunshine  . There were lots of cheeky seagulls trying to get a hold of one of the sandwiches! After we filled our bellies we had a wander and saw some more animals but we kept the best for last… the chimpanzees!   They were in the outdoor enclosure so we had the perfect viewing experience. One had quite a  “grumpy” face and was sitting with his arms folded up like he was in a huff , we all found this very funny and even managed to get a photo. There was a very young and playful one who was our favourite.  He seemed to be very cheeky! J At the end of our visit we enjoyed an ice cream  and we all got some souvenirs from the shop to take home. We are hoping to go back again –

We loved the zoo, TC & BST 🙂
